Scandinavian countries are the places of folk-stories, of the great civilization of Vikings who synonymies with terror and legacy in their heydays. The Norfolk talks about the Thor and Odin and the Mythological Gods of War and so on… These countries has inspired a lot of people in the art industry as much as philosophy. The people of the sea, the explorers.

My fascinations with Norway, Sweden, Finland & Denmark was born mainly from the stories of Vikings and their adventures. But the more I researched, the more I found out about the rich history and nature these countries possesses. Some of the best Fjords and Canals in the World in terms of sheer beauty and some crazy Roads over Atlantic Ocean. Modern Technological Giants from Finland, who are also in top of the Academics in the entire world, the home of Noble Awards in Sweden, the extravagant Fjord beauties and White summers of Norway. Planning this trip made me realize that it can’t be covered whole in one go, neither it is feasible. So I’ve broken it into main parts that I want to visit. I will probably be in the capitals only for Finland & Denmark. Take ferries, trains, cars & planes for the whole trip. This is also under my assumption will be the most expensive trip. I’m not personally looking to cut cost neither be too extravagant about it. It will be once in a lifetime trip, therefore I want to make the best of memories.

Journey Leg #1 - Finland-Sweden-denmark

Helsinki | Stockholm | Visby | Kalmar | Lund | Malmo | Copenhagen | Gothenburg | Karlstad | Uppsala | Stockholm. 

The route is open to changes that can happen, depending on the mode of transportation. The initial plan is to travel from Helsinki to Stockholm and use a car to discover Sweden. The later plan may be using a euro-rail card to check out the whole of Sweden and capital of Denmark and end the trip in Oslo.

 

Journey Leg #2 - Norway.

The the second leg of the journey is open to alot of suggestions and changes as I am not exactly sure about the duration or the places i would like to go.
